AFFT Hands Over Operation to Grassroots

On June 14, 2014, the national organization Americans for Fair Taxation (AFFT) passed the reigns of command over to be managed by a much more expansive grassroots organization.  Thirty two elected delegates from 20 states met in Houston,TX, over the weekend of June 13 - 15 to elect a five person executive committee which includes the CEO, a president, three vice presidents, a secretary and treasurer.  The thirty two delegates now form the Board of Directors.  Also, nine committees were formed and leaders for each were nominated and voted into position by this new Board of Directors.  The new committees are currently working on projects to further the effectiveness of the overall organization while supporting special projects, such as, strategic plan preparation,increasing communication and social media activities, and increasing numbers of volunteers.  Updates will be reported as they happen in the future.
