WHO We Are
Alabama FairTax District 6 is a local group of supporters of
The FairTax Plan for tax reform, a progressive national sales tax that
abolishes personal and corporate income taxes, payroll taxes (FICA), capital gains taxes, gift taxes, and

WHAT We Do
Activities include: Educating friends and neighbors about
The FairTax Plan, advocating its passage by writing letters to our
congressmen and newspaper editors, attending tea parties, and proudly
displaying our support with
t-shirts and bumper stickers.
WHERE We Are
Alabama's 6th Congressional District is located in the heart of
Alabama.
Counties include: Bibb, Clanton, St. Clair, and Shelby, with parts of Coosa, Jefferson, and Tuscaloosa
counties as well.
WHEN We Meet
We currently have no groups with monthly meetings.

WHY It's Important
The first country to enact The FairTax Plan will become the manufacturing
capital of the world — and other countries are considering similar plans. We must act quickly so
we are the first and get to reap the most benefits.
It sounds easy — Just get Congress to pass The FairTax Bill — but there are some steep
mountains to climb. Because The FairTax Plan gets rid of loopholes and exemptions for the Special
Interests, they are going to fight against it ... and so will the legislators they have bought and paid
for.
We have a big job ahead: Only an active grassroots movement can bring about the kind of change we
need to end this Washington corruption and rebuild America's manufacturing sector. Please join us and make
your voice heard!
HOW To Get Involved
There are so many ways to get involved: From simply
signing an on-line petition or
writing a letter to your legislators to leading a local FairTax group or
organizing a whole FairTax rally, there's bound to be something that fits your interests, talents, and
free time.

A NEW Congress Means
A NEW Life for the FairTax!
With the beginning of a new Congress also begins our need to recruit co-signers for the FairTax Bill.
Even Washington is showing a renewed interest in 'tax reform' ... and the FairTax is the
best solution.
We need to get their attention by flooding their offices with our demand for the FairTax!
